Guys, did you ever beat up someone when you were in high school or college, and why?

No I did not. I have never ever ever once laid a hand on anyone in my life. Not even protecting a woman in a bar or something like that. In high school, I was a white minority in the Puerto Rican dominated High school. And I was the one that got cornered Always by 5:00 Puerto Ricans because they needed cigarettes and I just took my last Marlboro out of my pack. And I hadn't gotten to the store yet so I can spend my bus money on a new pet and then walk home.
I have never laid a hand on a woman. I've never laid a hand on any human being ever before in my life. Not even drunk.

It ended after I landed my first blow.


He was a head taller than me and almost twice my size.


He talked sh*t about me all year, insulting my race, insulting my intelligence, insulting my beliefs, even in front of our peers.


One day he challenged me to a fight.


He backed out immediately after being hit by me once, even though I was more than ready to keep going.


He never picked on me again.

That was in high school. I was the quiet kid with 6 years of martial arts experience under my belt. Getting harassed by a bully all year.

I was being annoyed by the school bully. I was about halfway home, and he decided to try something. I snapped and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. My father came looking for me because I was late getting home; he pulled me off the kid. Note: he was almost twice my size. After that day, he left me alone, and people were amazed how nice he suddenly became.

Did I beat somebody up? No, but we did have a fight. He was a lot bigger than me, but I held my own. I landed one really solid blow and didn't get killed. Since then I took 9 years of Karate. Haven't had any more fights, but lots of sparring. Anybody can be beaten on any day, but it would be a lot harder to do than used to be.

During my senior year of high school, a girl I had a huge crush on started dating a guy who was on the football team, and Margaret began urging this guy to push me around and humiliate me during lunch hour. This took place practically every day, for the entire year.

A guy raped my friend's girlfriend. A friend and I beat the f out of him and spent time in jail for it.

Sure. Usually they said something bad that they shouldn't have said, and a couple times it was to defend a friend that they were attacking.
