Does a guy ever come around to check on you when their life and career has straightened out?

Maybe sometimes. My aunt used to be in situation like that. But it's not necessarily the best idea. Why would a guy assume that a woman would be waiting for him? Sure, he can check on her, but he shouldn't expect anything. It's kind of naive way of thinking, as well was waiting for someone who doesn't contact you for a long time, not knowing if they ever will.

No but I also don’t expect that kind of energy either. If I set them free, they are free to start their journey and maybe meet a woman along the way that wants to ride that experience.

Yes that happens, but don't find yourself waiting around for that to happen.
