My brothers friend asked me if I thought he was weak. while his parents were trying to take him back home why would he ask me that? He was a bit drunk but he asked me specifically if I thought he was weak and everybody looked at me and I was like “right now yes because you’re drunk” what does it mean?

28 years old. He was driving recklessly and stopped to see my brother wanting to fight him but he’s in an arranged marriage he ended up telling his parents he didn’t love or care about his “stupid” fiancé. And they tried telling him that, that wasn’t him speaking but his demons. He kept pushing them away and was following me around and his mother (I know she doesn’t like me kept yelling at me that he’s soon to be married I looked back at her and was like “your son needs help both psychological and spiritual” marriage won’t fix this problem it’s only gonna run off his fiancé) we kind of used to talk so there’s that too.

OMG. He needs to 1) not go through with this marriage 2) get some counseling outside of whatever cult his parents are in

I think he knows this and is hoping that you can give some encouragement -- let him know that it's acceptable for him to leave his current situation for something better.
