Honestly? I don't know the whole story but from what you've shared he doesn't seem to be as excited as you about this acquaintance. If he said to take things slow after your cofession and didn't contact you for a couple months, the message is rather clear and it's not positive. You can try to catch up with him if you really want to but for me it's not worth it and it's best if you let it go. And if you do, don't be open about your feelings too fast.

I see. It's some kind of sign too. I would feel as if I were not so important to someone, to say the least. It's good to test somebody sometimes and stop texting to see if they notice and react in any way. It shows you the truth and keeps you safe, or people take you for granted. If someone really likes you, they will always find the time for you.
