Why did he disappear then come back?

Why did this guy completely disappear on me (3-4 days) then come back?

Long story short: This guy completely disappeared on me for a couple days, no explanation whatsoever. We had a very normal and even sweet conversation prior to him disappearing then he came back and said he had an "internal freak out"?

He doesn't have to explain anything if you guys are just talking. Maybe he just had other priorities during those 3-4 days and didn't have time to carry on with a conversation.
