Sometimes when people say certain things , or use certain words they have double meaning to them it's easy to be a smart-ass and say something that's funny or they could be taken as flitable

In all reality he's just having fun they're saying something that's funny and it comes across as flirtable

If he didn't talk to you for 5 months after you side I miss you. It's because he's trying to be your friend he looks at you as a friend and he doesn't want to mislead you.. when you have a good tight friend you can just about say anything in front of them and I guess they're supposed to understand it I had a friends with benefits and she was a friend but I told her we had to have rules because I didn't want to step over those boundaries are pretend it was something that it wasn't and the rules were if she ever said I miss you I love you I want you I need you we would have to call it quits because then it was getting too deep and I didn't want to hurt her feelings pretend that there is anything more I mean one of the best times I've ever had because it was a true friendship

He doesn't text first as He might be Adult 18, 18 and he knows his a$$ will end up somewhere else if he "incriminates" himself with "naughty" text towards a minor... You could take thise texts and send them further, so the guy is caucious...🤷‍♂️

Could be shy but if he never initiates, take that as a bad sign. I wouldn't pursue this, especially if he disappears for months or says you're like a sister. Might just be looking for attention or bored when he texts to you.
