He doesn’t text me first often, but responds enthusiastically when I text first?

I’ve been talking to this guy I met online for a few weeks, he doesn’t text me first very often but has told me that he’s usually very tired as he works long hours and does a lot of hands on work. But I do see him posting on IG when I haven’t heard from him.

Sometimes we’ll be chatting over text and my last text will go unanswered for a few days and he will message me to start a convo. I asked him about this and he says he’s just tired sometimes, which is understandable…

When I text him first, he responds as if he’s happy to hear from me and sometimes he’ll even video call me if I’ve texted him. Is he interested or just bored/being nice?

He sounds like he is interested but not fully. Be careful with these types of guys because you shouldn't have to question where you stand with someone. You will know when someone actually wants to spend time with you and get to know you even if they are busy. He is obviously not too busy if he can post on social media. So I wouldn't waste my time or put my energy on him because he is already giving you mixed signals if he goes a few days without reaching out. Him being tired is just excuses because you will make time for the person you want to get to know. So I would stop asking him about it because it already sound like you are putting him on a pedistal. And he knows it
