Why would the guy I was dating last year block me from his IG stories. We never followed each other nor have I watched stories. Why not just block me?

My profile is private and I never shared my handle with him, so for him to go our of his way to block just stories is a bit odd. Why not block me from your entire profile?

I figured if my number is still in his phone maybe that's how he found me by connecting his contacts buts that quite a few steps to block me from just stories.

Strange indeed. I'm not on IG so I'm not entierly sure how it works.. but maybe only a select few gets to see his stories and everyone else gets a block. He may think only specific types can handle the type of content he shares.
I do that on fb, have sub-friendlists with party-types in that I share explicit content with, because the rest would make all types of assumptions and even ifbit's not expressed rumors still come around to stab in the back.

Instagram does have the option to put people in categories so you can share stories with different people however, those people have to follow you. We don't follow each other and my profile is private so for him to somehow find my handle just to block me from stories (that i was never watching to begin with) after months of being broken up is weird. It actually baffles me lol

Well if he was the one managing his IG at the time of blocking then the only real conclusion I can make is that he's spent more than one thought about you recently. For good or bad.. is up for debate.

He wants to hide something in his stories from you but leave the option open to still be able to look at your main profile if he wants. I think if he blocks you completely it goes both ways. It not only blocks you from seeing him but him from seeing you.

That's the thing my profile is private and he doesn't follow me. And I never watch his stories before so why go out if his way to just block just stories. Live your life I never watched his stories to begin with.
