so I have this guy and I want to chat with him bc he seems really cool (he's gay) but he never texts first , but when I text he always replies , so I don't know if I should ghost him or not bc I want him to like me , at least as a friend, yesterday I texted hi, and then he replied "hi Reem"

should I leave him on delivered/ghost this?

and my intention from this isn't manipulation but I just want him to like me

Sometimes yes sometimes no.

There are many guys who will monologue over texts for years and there are guys that will never text again after a day of no replies.

In your special case, i would assume you will loose that guy if you stop texting.
