What do you think of china banning effeminate men?

Seems like a very Chinese government MO thing and they usually want to do the complete opposite of the west. I've seen a lot of people who say "we should be doing that" or "they have it right" but stopping people from being themselves creates a more depressed society especially if it's something as broad as "effeminate" men. I think all of the rigid policies countries like China or Russia place on their citizens is like a pot waiting to boil because eventually the people will have enough. Although, maybe they're seeing all the stuff happening in the west and don't like it so they took a hard line left to do the complete opposite. Honestly don't know how the results will look but time will tell.

Yeah, really puts me off of the website, I'm not really conservative or liberal and the fact that most sites or apps put a hard stance on it is super cringy to me, I'd like to think people can have more nuanced takes on different issues based on their values and don't have to pick a literal side where any disagreement is basically "you're agreeing with the other side." Really cringy to be an adult and think that way, and it's all over the internet.
