Friends or more?

So there's a guy friend of mine who I've known around a year and we get on so well, we match each other's sarcasm and playfully tease each other always laughing and joking but we can be serious too when we need to be, I guess we just have genuine chemistry, nothings forced. Rewind a few months and our conversation turned to if anything more could / would happen, I definitely feel like there is mutual attraction there, we chatted about it for a bit nothing happened and we continued with our friendship. Last week the same conversation came up, and he said 'It's never gonna happen, I don't think I'm going to rush that we have such an amazing friendship and that shouldn't be jeopardised' which is completely fair. He invited me to watch him at his soccer game tonight, which he's never done before. I went and watched him on my own, not knowing anyone else there. It was kinda cold so he gave me his jacket, he's also never done that before ๐Ÿ˜‚ and the he scored a goal and was like 'I scored that for you' I guess it's confusing because we can be quite flirty, but I'm so confused right now. Does he like me more than a friend? Did he completely friendzone me? Or is he just scared in case we start something and ultimately lose our friendship?
