Can a girl really fix a guy?

Nope. People can only fix themselves. I've had many girls try to fix me in the past, but I'm me. Take me or leave me as I am. Sure there are compromises that have to be made when two people share their lives together, but who he is as a man, most likely will never change.

It's like the old story about the scorpion and the frog. The scorpion wants to get across the lake but he can't swim so he asks the frog to give him a ride. The frog says, no way man, you are going to sting me to death. The scorpion replies, why would I do that. If I sting you and you drown, then I drown with you. The frog thought about it for a minute and said, ok hop on. The scorpion hops on the frog's back and half-way across the lake he feels a sharp sting in his back. As the frog is slowly dying, he asks the scorpion, but why? You are going to die too. The scorpion replied, it's my nature.

Nope. Nobody can fix others. That persoj needs to want to fix themselves.

We need to find someone that fits what we are looking for, and not settle for someone in hopes they will one day change

The simple answer to that is "NO". But it's never quite that simple. You change people (both men and women) just by knowing them. You cannot change people at thier CORE. Thier values are the ones they were born and raised with. Don't even waste your time trying to change this about a person. The best you can do is be a positive influence on them.

Think of relationships as like a rock polisher. If you are a HEALTHY match then you polish eachother, sand off the rough edges, you make eachother better. Never look to change someone. Only encourage and try to bring out what already exists there hidden.
