Do you think a lot of men underestimate how women view them? Like over generalizing women's impressions of them, based on what a few think or said?

Yes, they do, and it is something most men are clueless on.

I think they definitely do. I think that could be a reason some guys want to control the women they’re with. They hate women because they feel women don’t like them and then when one actually comes along that likes them despite everything she says/does they can’t actually believe the woman likes them so they still have that hatred of women and take that out on the woman that likes him by trying to control her and/or treat her bad in other ways. And simultaneously wants to make sure this woman who likes him (even if he can’t really understand that like) doesn’t get away, another reason to want to control.

I think a lot of guys don’t understand that women can actually like them, can actually want them, actually desire them and respect them and are capable of loving them. The same way they like and want and desire and are capable of respecting and loving a woman. If they could understand that I don’t know why they’d want to treat her badly at all. I think low self esteem is definitely a part of the equation in those kinds of situations.
