For the girls, does your guy do this?
This is what drives me crazy about my own sex. Likely brought on by having 5 sisters (poor dad.)
We are supposedly capable human beings, strong, who don't need a man, but it seems beyond us to check to see if a toilet seat is up or down. I think I learned that lesson when I was 4.
Instead of solving the issue like reasonable people who deserve our right to vote, and take agency over our circumstances, we blame men for wronging us. In reality, they are reducing mess and doing the household a favor instead of peeing on the seat.
Any woman knows that even women can't keep pee and even period blood off the seat of a public restroom, and we sit point blank range from the opening.
For God's sake, take some responsibility.
Thank you for listening to years of frustration.

i actually leave the seat up as a girl the whole thing, once done. it circulates air in the bowl and keeps it neutral in smell when not in use.
I either leave it up or put the lid down as well. This is how it goes:
If I find a toilet with the seat down, I lift it up.
If someone after me finds the toilet seat up, they put it down.
This is such a non-issue, I can't believe people even make a fuss about it.
If I happen to pee in three streams, which happen to guys quite more than you'd think, I get one of those disinfectant wipes I keep around and clean up. If the floor gets hit, I wash it up immediately.
It's so goddamn simple.
After I pee, I wipe the top of the toilet bowl AND the floor in front of it with a tissue (a 'wetwipe' when I'm home) to ensure everything is clean then I put the seat down.
Guys who leave it up, and don't even bother to check the floor is clean are gross and have absolutely no manners at all (imho !)

Girls, do you leave the toilet seat down after you use it? Know your worth fellas.
I close it all before I flush. I do this to keep most of the toilets particles out of the air as it flushes.
In Germanic countries in Europe the *norm* is to *sit* on the toilet, also for guys.
So this has never really been a issue for me.
But on the rare occasions where I haven't, like when it's just too gross to use, honestly I just left it untouched, except to use some toilet paper to flush it (or in a especially bad case, a bucket)...
I figured that if it's too bad for me to sit sg it's probably too bad for a girl too...Oh, the grand old Duke of York,
He had a toilet seat;
He lifted it up to do a pee
Then he it put it down again.
When it was up, it was up,
And when it was down, it was down,
And when it was only halfway up,
It was neither up nor down.I just leave it the way it is. If I go number 2 I just leave it down. If I go number 1 I leave it up.
I am under no obligation to leave it one way or the other. You are an adult... check the seats status.
I could just as easily need to go number 1 and accuse you of not leaving the seat UP for me.
That is childish if anyone even brings up how you "left the seat"
The age old question. I don't like to clean up my own urine off of or around the toilet bowl , so I sit and don't P*** all over the place. I do close the lid, and have a Toto Silent lid that doesn't slam shut. No wise cracks, please! 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️😂😂😂😂😂😂
So here is the crazy thing: every single woman I've known who's been to my place has always left the toilet seat up, and at their house they do the same thing. This is so completely puzzling to me because growing up you would hear women complain how annoying it is that men leave the seat up. I have never done it. Leaves me scratching my head.
I put it down for a few reasons and the lid , when you flush there is always some particulate matter that comes up in water vapor and I also don’t want to accidentally drop something in it when doing things near it. Don’t have any woman here so it’s just something I normally do
I'm a cleaner in a small supermarket without public toilets, on the two days a week I work on my own, I put both the seats and the lids up after cleaning hahahaha!!! by the way my partner is female and she puts both the lid and seat down,,,
Here is a secret just for you. As a guy that lives alone and does not live in a pig pen... you pee sitting down. It just less messy, requires less cleaning.
I regularly close the lid when I flush the toilet cause when you flush all the particles left into the air and you inhale it and it gets on your tooth brush and other things around in the bathroom. Look up any infared video on YouTube of flushing so you can see what I mean. The toilet lid is the only way to stop the particulars from lifting up into the air.
I'm unusual for a guy in that, not only do I leave the seat down, but I'll sit every time I go to the bathroom so there's never the remote possibility that I'll leave the seat up
Actually, no. My s/o and I paid for a toilet seat cover that adds a little atmosphere to a room that otherwise, to be fair, does not have much of an atmosphere, so I make a point of putting the seat down so that the cover can be seen.
Seems like a minor thing, but there it is.
Why do I have to go to the pisser in the middle of the night and try to find the seat to lift it up to pee? Why can't she hunt for it to put it down? What makes her more special than me? If she's too sleepy to check to see if it's down, what about if I'm too sleepy to check to see if it's up?
Everyone who enters my home put it down.
It's nasty as fuck when people flush with the lid open.
Because up is cleaner, you had no idea just how many guys, don't lift the toilet seat up before peeing. Uneducated is scary.
My guy just pees with the seat like normal. Never puts it up. I don't get why guys do that tbh like learn how to aim
We use the “put it how you need it” method. If it’s up and I need it down, I put it down. If it’s down and he needs it up, he puts it up. We’re big kids, we got this 😀
I close it. Because after using the toilet, that's the other function of that lid.
I always try to use the full technical potential of a device.
I always put the lid down before I flush. Flushing a toilet launches bacteria two meters into the air. Putting the lid down stops them at the lid. So you don't spread bacteria and whatever else goes flying up when you flush.
