+1 yAny woman who cannot figure out how to put the toilet seat down needs to wear a helmet at all times and be under constant supervision and should never be allowed to make decisions. If I can figure out how to lift the seat up so I don't accidentally piss on it, she can figure out how to put the lid down so she doesn't accidentally fall in (especially confusing considering that the only way you cannot see that the seat is up is if you go in ass first with the lights off and never look back. At that point, you deserve it because your stupid.). So no, I believe women are strong and independent and equal to men and have IQ's above 40 so they can figure out how to put the seat back down and don't need no man to do it for them because, you know, strong independent women and all that.

+1 yIn my house, the toilet lid is always down. If a woman wants to use the toilet, she HAS to lift the lid. If a guy wants to pee, he needs to lift the lid AND the seat too. I think girls are strong enough to lift a lid and smart enough to figure that out. If they don't like it, they can pee outside in the bushes.

Not at all. My boyfriend is considerate and almost never leaves it down. It looks so much neater and I prefer the lid down. Way way much neater.

while she adds none to her pee routine
the only fair solution is we each do one move set 😂 she puts it down after I go pee and Ill lift it up after she pees... but if I have to lift it up, its not going back down321 Reply- +1 y
And if you actually need to do a number 2? Seat would need to be down therefore for the purposes of efficiency it is best to leave the seat down.
- +1 y
@TaylorJohnnyCO ya but if i lift it up. Im not putting it down. She will put it down
I think its curtesy to leave it the way the next person wants. So if she uses it. She should put it up for me. And if i use it. Ill put it down for her
Simple
Why does the guy have to fiddle with the toliet seat twice. Lift it up then put it down
When princess just walks in with the seat always down
Nah lol thats bullshit - +1 y
Hahahaha what? A male will either pee or take a dump.
A male may pee about 75% of the time in comparison to taking a dump 25% of the time meaning the toilet seat would go up about 75% of the time.
So if you add a female into the mix, a female either pees or takes a dump but with both times the seat must be down 100% of the time.
Therefore there's only a 37.5% chance that the seat will go up. That's 37.5/100. So once the toilet is used, there's like a 60% chance that the other person would use the toilet, but that gives the recent user a 40% of returning.
So based on your statement; "I think its curtesy to leave it the way the next person wants." We are entirely unsure whether or not the next person will actually be the most recent user. So for efficiency purposes, in regards to the ratio, it's best to leave the seat down.
- +1 y
We are cursed to move the seat anyways. If we share the toilet with a woman and she expects to get the seat down we are cursed to do two times more jobs. The extra job comes with the relationship. So should be shared equally. The fair would be if men did it like every second time so if we talk about only pee it would be 50-50 and we could live with the thought that taking a dump always favours women.
- +1 y
@TaylorJohnnyCO
No because we are individual people not one person rofl... my efficiency doesn't come with factoring her in this.
if the toilet seat is always down, its 100% efficient for her and according to your numbers at least 75% inefficient for me
no thanks lol... bad reasoning and poor calculations - +1 y
But as a household which has more than one individual that makes the members a whole, so e. g. 1 male 1 female.
By the calculations put forward, the seat would need to be up 3.75/10 times.
Which is more efficient? obviously the 6.25/10 times option, being the seat down. Majority rules. It's more inefficient to keep the seat up due to the lower degree in chance of percentage, how can't you see that? - +1 y
@TaylorJohnnyCO
1. Where the heck do you even get 3.75/10. Thats just full of shit numbers. Lol. Making up stuff. Some peoppe dont even poo once a day but pee all day. Get outta here with that bs š
2. This isn't a majority over minority argument š This is a how much work i do vs what she does
How does that not make sense? Stop making your decisions on bogus numbers - +1 y
1. I know I just made those numbers up and I know most people pee more than they shit so it couldn't be 50/50 for seat up and down. So I made the percentage higher. Even if a male pees 95% of the time on average it's still in the minority.
2. All ya gotta do is lift a seat up. How hard can that possibly be? It ain't like we're in a third world country with harder physical chores and such. Like a female has absolutely no purpose whatsoever to ever lift a seat up like ever. It's not instilled in our minds through growing up to lift up a seat as we don't stand up to pee.
Therefore, it would be much more inefficient to go with the minority percentage whilst also rewiring and retraining the mindset of women by placing the seat up.
Efficiency is the ruler! Why would making something more inefficient be the way to go? that doesn't even make sense. - +1 y
by the way are you serious with this argument thing?
I'm half serious half joking. - +1 y
@TaylorJohnnyCO no im serious
Thats what i tell her sometimes if I feel like being a dick lol. Now ill explain it to you princess
ā> Efficiency but not at the expense of others. That logic isn't consistent. There is a lot of efficient ways to do sometbingtbut we dont because it negatively impacts someone else
The word you are looking for is āoptimal utilityā. Not efficiency
- +1 y
Capital P for Princess boy lel.
Of course efficiency has trade-offs, that's how we find the efficiency point. The expense of others will always occur so a balance can be found. Retraining & rewiring the mind of the, "natural flow of a woman's toilet routine" is a major cost. So is the cost of the male lifting the seat up and down for, "more work".
If a diagram was made, then finding a balance for the two I feel will show the efficiency point having a major reduction of, "rewriting of natural flow routine" and a minor reduction in, "more work" due to the value of difficulty between these two values.
Putting the seat up and down will probably end up 50/50 for both sexes anyways, based on balance. - +1 y
@TaylorJohnnyCO or you could just do one action each time you go. easy breezy
leave it how the next person would want it. Easy breezy

Boy please, don't even.
The gym I use renovated and changed the toilets to a weird unisex facility that did not have urinals.
This included new toilet seats, which lowered themselves immediately after the seat had been raised.
This meant that the men could not piss standing up, because the seat lowered itself too quickly.
We could not hold the seats up, because holding clothes open and aiming the penis requires two hands.
The men responded to this obnoxious Feminist assault on their masculinity by pissing all over the seats, as they lowered themselves.
It took the bitch of a female manager two weeks to get the message.00 Reply- 661 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yThe idea that men should be required to put the seat down is pure sexism on the part of women. Sorry ladies; if you're not bright enough to notice the seat is up, you're too dim to be allowed to go to the bathroom on your own. The obvious fact in support of this is that women's PUBLIC toilets have seats that go up and down. So even if ONLY women use it, the seat can still be up. Having been part of the cleaning crew of any number of public restrooms, I can categorically state that this is true.

Just kidding, lmao.
In seriousness, toilets have lids for a reason, how about everyone just puts the lid down altogether and then everyone can just adjust as necessary from there?10 Reply 8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Technically to be neat you should put it back down for the same reason you should push chairs back under the table after eating and make the bed after getting up in the morning. It simply looks better. Aside from that I really could not care less since women are "man" enough to flip the lid themselves.
10 ReplyApparently you're supposed to put not only the seat down but the cover down because when you flush the germs and bacteria spray everywhere. For that reason, I put the lid down after I go so maybe you should too, but honestly it's not that big of a deal to me if a guy leaves it up.

+1 yIf everyone put the lid down before flushing in order to prevent shit and pee particles and micro-droplets from splashing up into the air during a flush, we wouldn't be having this age-old problem.
20 ReplyYou put the seat down and the lid down then you flush and then you leave.
Why? Because flushing atomizes whatever is in the toilet and disperses it through the bathroom if you donāt leave the cover down
