It's super annoying. And I don't mean you should not try your luck, but if the girl is not interested then why do you keep annoying her?

Some guys just pretend that I didn't say anything and continue. Others start insulting you out of nowhere. And when you say you're taken some start with shit like "so what I'm better than him".

And it's usually not someone you know but the random guy messaging you or talking to you outside. The ones that call you baby in their first message trigger me the most because I know what Is about to come before they even said much.

Feels like almost every girl has to deal with them but the other way around it doesn't seem as common. That's at least how it is here in Spain

I can say when I was 10 years younger in high school I was extremely awkward and did not pick up social cues as easily as I do now. There was a girl I was crushing on and asked her out and she didn't say no straight up, so I thought there might have been a chance. I asked a few more times thinking if I was persistent and she didn't say no straight up, there might have been a chance. Nowadays, I know that she was just trying to put it to me lightly. It's so apparent the more I think about it. I'm not saying it's the case with all guys, but I do think a lot of guys don't want to give up on their self proclaimed dream girl when they're young and immature.

My advice is... make sure to make it clear to them. Something like "Sorry. I promise I don't think lowly of you, but I'm not interested." If you say it to them too lightly like "Sorry, but I'm not looking to date now." that makes it look open and possible for you to date them in the future if they keep in touch.

I think it’s because we live in a world that runs on male power and that tells everyone it’s a man’s world. Guys, from a young age before they can comprehend what’s going on, take this all in and they become entitled. They have a subconscious/unconscious idea of how things are supposed to be, of a hole inside they need to fill. That and the fact that testosterone just makes guys have much stronger sexual urges (not feelings necessarily, but urges). All that on top of a society that sees anything feminine as lesser than (so men don’t see or respect women as equals) and makes women out to be there essentially for men (emotionally, sexually). It’s a lot more than this, and I could be wrong, but those are some reasons probably.

In a word, entitlement. Men are way more entitled than they realize. And this is coming from a guy, I’m not trying to hate on guys here.

And if he gets perturbed, then its YOUR job to not become perturbed and not give in, or lower yourself to his level.

I think some guys are just confused on what to do cause of TV and movies. A lot of movies depict men being persistent even when the woman says “no”. I never had the balls to keep pursuing after getting a “no” growing up but it took me some time to realize girls don’t say “no” cause of something particular, it’s just because they don’t like you in that way. As obvious as that may seem men easily equate “no” to their sense of value. They take the “no” as “I need to be better” or “I need to try harder”, they essentially see “no” as a puzzle. Well first some women think they are saying no to a guy without actually verbally saying it. Guys are supposed to pick up on her “signals” whether positive or negative and read her mind. But men can’t read minds ladies. Worse some women really do this hard to get “no yes” bullshit. They like seeing the guy try work it.

2 reasons. 1. Men are conditioned by your gender that persistence is rewarded. Sometimes 50 no and a restraining order actually means "yes"🙃🤣 but also 2. I have been, even when I was very young (19-20 something) just the 'opposite' of what you describe. I was never aggressive or pushy with girls and never assumed anything, and by being that way, missed having what might have been, several good relationships.
