went out for brunch
guy was gonna pay but girl insisted on paying her portion so she did
guy also took out her to dessert after
conversation did go well but guy asked a lot about family and parents background, too
but ended up not dropping her off to her direction and simply shook hands and said it was nice meeting her

Okay, I'm confused he took her to brunch, then somewhere else for dessert? Did he agree to transport her then didn't? Not very clear.

yes, somewhere else for dessert. They didn’t communicate about that, but the guy went off to his subway station without dropping off the girl to her subway station (apparently this is a red flag?)
