Can I say "hi guys" to a bunch of girls?

Is it odd to say ''hi guys'' to a bunch of girls? I just want to hear your opinions...

I said it recently to a group of people but there were more women and after it left my lips I did feel weird about it like I just felt like it was odd for some reason. (So of course right on time anxiety hit it. I got real awkward in my insides and I was like you kno what let's make them feel some of this awkward too. because I'm a good guy and I was taught to share.)
I was like and ladies or gals or woman folk. They laughed hesitantly 😂
but coming up I would be like hey you guys or how are you guys doing to gfs in school and the shit Was regular. So what happened between the 90s and now.. huh you guys? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣😆🙆🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Of course you can say that.. I think this just plays into an accent thing. How do you address a group of individuals? “Hey y’all,”, “hey you all,”, or “hey guys” But if you're looking for something more sophisticated, you can say ''Hello, multiple females."

I always saw “guys” as a gender neutral term.
I work as a server and I’ve always greeted my tables with “how you guys doing” no matter what their gender is.
There’s only been ONE time where an older woman said “I’m not a guy, hmph 😡”

Yeah, I call all girl groups and girls in general "guy" often. in my opinion, guy is gender neutral. "Bitches" is also gender neutral when used in the same context to me, lol.

It does depend on the group, tho. Some women will be very sensitive about it. Others don't care.
