If a girl who says "Hi" to everybody won't say hi to me most of the time?

So there's this co-worker I kinda like. She is a shy girl but after a couple of months she has been opening up and now talks more and seems more comfortable. One thing I've noticed is that she will say hi to everybody when she sees them for the first time during the day (which is common work related manners) but she won't say it to me most of the time, a lot of times we just start talking without a greeting. When she DOES say hi, is just that, a "hi" or "hello" but with ALL other coworkers she says HI and their names, I'm like "what? what's wrong with my name?" I'm a pretty popular guy at work, most people like me and we talk and joke around but she is just so nervous around me. SHe will make eye contact from time to time when we talk but most of the time she is looking down or "looking busy" while with other people she will look at them most of the time. SHould I just assume she doesn't like me much? She seems to have fun talking to me but she is just way too nervous and sometimes when we see each other she will give me this BIG nervous grin, makes me feel like a weirdo haha, any help?

No, I think she is shy and is attracted to you :) She has a big crush on you. I do that myself. It is up to you now to try to make her as comfortable as possible, so she will open up. This is going to take you to make most of the moves at first and then if she likes you back she will respond. Be warned I think you should be honest and clear with each step that you make with her, no BS and don't play the shy game back. 1. you would not get anywhere with her 2. you want to set the tone that you are an open and honest person that she could talk to, and you don't play games. Shy girls can take the shy thing too far and start playing games with it. Honest truth :) Good luck and get the girl :)

Based on the "big nervous grin" and difference in how she treats you compared to the others, I'd say it's possible she likes you and is just shy like you said. Just be kind and patient with her...give her time to open up! Joking a little with her (not in a sexual way...just regular humor) might encourage her to come out of her shell!

Thats another thing. While she will tolerate jokes and laugh, she is way too critical with me (not only with jokes, she seems to overanalyze and critizice things I do). Like recently a mutual was being "funny" (fart jokes and references seem to be his speciality) and she laughs at those kind of things. But let me insinuate (via pun or remark) something resembling a fart joke and she'll get on my ass and tell me "are those the only jokes you know?"She probably just has me in a higher standard lol

i think she likes you. I am actually going through the same thing and have the exact same thiings happening. the whole hi thing and then speaking to others and being short with you. I haven't seen her all summer since she went home for the summer and I bbm her and she opened up a little and I said we should stay in touch and she said definately but haven't heard from her so I'm thinking I would bbm her to make the first move again.
