In love with a lifeguard?

I was swimming during a red flag beach day, and i almost drowned last week. A brave lifeguard saved my life he was so nice to me and kept taking care of me and asking about how I felt until i was no longer in shock. My boyfriend didn't do anything. He only sat next to me, he didn't comfort me , he didn't touch me, I didn't feel his presence at all, knowing that I was 100% conscious.
When we were about to leave, the lifeguard came asking for my name and number. My boyfriend refused. Now I can't stop thinking about him. Should I consider going back and talk to him? Knowing that the beach is far away from where I live. And sometimes I think that he was only doing his job! And that was no special treatment. Should I take the risk and try to contact him?

First of all, why tf were you swimming on a red 🚩 flag day at the beach? That was risking your life, for what. Very stupid. But I digress.
Yeah, break up with your boyfriend first before you go searching for Mr. Baywatch. Don't be gross. That dude had a lot of guts asking for your info right in front of your boyfriend. That's inviting a beating in some places. There is a possibility he was asking for your info because he had to file an incident report, but he would have stated that when he asked.

That's sweet!
Being a firefighter , that's exactly how you treat everyone, especially women and children after rescuing them ( They get easily traumatized if you don't comfort them enough)
But he was not just "doing his job" if he asked your name and number
And also that's really weird and concern-less behaviour from your boyfriend
I have experince of how traumatizing drowning can be (When I started learning to swim) ...

So yeah, you must leave your boyfriend since he doesn't deserve you if he can't be concerned about you and trust me... life guards are one of the sweetest guys you can find!

Your so-called boyfriend is a dick. Anyone who wouldn't comfort you when you may have died is a loser. Drop him. The lifeguard was only doing his duty. Don't read any more into it than there was. Forget about it. A long-distance relationship hardly ever works anyway.
