This idea is 50% stupid, And 50% illegal.
It won't make you more attractive, it won't make him fall in love with you, it won't make him want to ask you out, it will make him think, ''What the fuck is she doing pretending she can't swim''?
And when he is inevitably forced into to pull your pathetic butt out the pool, And its obvious you were faking it, im pretty sure its illegal to do that. you're distracting a lifeguard for your shitty little quest of attraction when he could still be looking out for other people who may actually need help, People could actually drown just because of your crush...
Life isn't a movie, He won't heroically run over, Pull you out, kiss you, date you and you both live happily ever after, Lmao14 Reply
Asker+1 yI’m 20 and I’ve never had a boyfriend, nobody cares; I have a few friends but they don’t really love me that much, my parents hate me, I’m miserable. I’m desperate, if I don’t find somebody by the time I’m 25 I’ll Kill myself, I may tie a cement block to my ankle and jump into the deep end, that way nobody can save me because it’s useless.
Asker+1 yNo, I’m ugly and no guy will want me. I do try, I changed my style, I use more makeup, I eat once a week to be thin, I try to talk to boys in my classes and they don’t seem interested

Again, Its just genuinely not this hard for girls to date, I genuinely know girls who from societies perspective, Are very unnatractive, Whether that be obese, bad smell, ugly, whatever, And they all date just fine.
Its really not this hard. You're just probably going about it badly. As i said, If you actually played it right, As a girl, You could have a boyfriend within a week with absolute ease.

It would be hard to fake, based off of what really happens, and instinctual, nearly uncontrollable urges to survive.
I'm sorry you're so lonely. All I can say is that you're not alone in being lonely at all. I was lonely and depressed for most of my late-teen to mid-20s years. I spent years thinking through ways I was going to off myself, because it was the only thing that gave me enough comfort to go to sleep. As I've grown older, my social life isn't a lot stronger, but I've become more comfortable with myself and while I do get lonely, it doesn't strike me with the intense misery that it used to.
I hope this brings you a little comfort, and if you need to talk, shoot me a message.00 Reply

+1 yThat'd be really stupid and dangerous. Whilst he's looking after you and your fake emergency, someone else could be having a real one and you'd put them at risk. Also, if he's seen people at risk before, he probably knows how to tell if you're faking it and you run the risk of pissing him off for distracting him from his job.

Not really known, but you can actually be fined for doing that

who would slap the shit out of you
and ban you from pool if someone else got screwed up with this distraction from the real deal
the ones that caught my eye, won my heart were the ones that
helped me maintain control over their wild friends
hung around my stand, not distracting, just mutually friendly chatter
doesn't hurt to wear stimulating complementary outfits
eventually you'll know the time to ask him out after work, swim suits or not... drive him to a park, park makeout 1st date = a winner, as I recall10 Reply
+1 yFirstly, I think that all guards had been in this situation before and don't feel too amused about it any more. Secondly - what if your 'flirt' keeps him distracted from doing his job and as a result someone loses his/her life? I bet, you find a better way to get his attention.
00 ReplyHow old are you? This is immature. While you're faking, there might be someone who actually needs help... If that person dies, then, you're responsible.
Grow up and just talk to them. They know that girls are looking at them and they will be pleased to hook up with a hot lady.03 Reply
Asker+1 yI am 20. I’ve never had a boyfriend and I desperately want one. I feel like nobody loves me, Hell I may actually tie a block of cement and drown myself because nobody would care and the hot lifeguard probably wouldn’t be able to do anything because I’m ugly.

i think its cute tbh it really reminds me of the scene from the film sandlot
Asker+1 yI’m thinking more romantic than that sandlot scene.

+1 ythis isn't the sandlot
as a lifeguard i can tell you romance doesn't blossom this way. if i found out a person did this in an effort to meet me i'd be rather turned off.
if you want his attention walk up to him and introduce yourself02 Reply
Asker+1 yWould you be able to tell if someone is faking?
- +1 y
most likely yes. it would be pretty clear in how they were behaving and what they were like once you got them out of the pool. just approach him
1.1K opinions shared on Flirting topic. That is a seriously bad idea. It will get his attention but not in a good way. You're an adult. Just ask him out. How hard is this -- "Hey, would you like to get a drink when you're done here?"

Asker+1 yCould he tell if it’s fake? If so I may actually let myself drown
Asker+1 yCan it be easy to tell if someone is faking or not?
Asker+1 yI wouldn’t because a hot guy would never accept, I am ugly and no where near a model type of girl that guys like, I’m 20 and have never been on a date.
- +1 y
So what makes you think that pretending to be drowning would make him overlook that? Let see, she's not attractive, AND she makes a mockery of my job and possibly endangers someone else who might actually need help. Or, if you did fool him, she's a shitty swimmer who doesn't have the sense to know her limitations, hence has poor judgement.
Better keep this a fantasy.
Asker+1 yI’m not making a mockery, I genuinely want to have a hot guy save me. I have a female friend that is a certified lifeguard and I told her I wanted to do this and she didn’t get mad, she’s like: “sorry I may act on instinct and save you instead”
Asker+1 y. I have 5 years to get a boyfriend or else I’m going to commit suicide.
Instead of doing something immature that ONLY works in the movies, just go up to him and talk

+1 yno, you would literally take his attention away from his job : and in the process someone might ACTUALLY need him
