Guy's Behavior

He told me what he was looking for and said he didn’t think it existed. 6 mo later he’s using the same words to describe me. Confused?

Guy I’m seeing is 22 yr older than I am. Not dating but we don’t have strict friends with benefits boundaries. When we first started talking I asked why he kept breaking up with women his age. He told me he wanted younger girl with substance/maturity but difficult to find. I told him I agreed. 6 mo later he keeps saying I have more substance than girls my age and that’s why he enjoys talking to me for hours and hours. He also said he felt emotionally connected to me but immediately took it back. Just very confused about how he’s feeling. Usually when I’m talking to older guys they end up liking me a lot more than I like them. But not sure if he’s just being cautious/testing the waters bc I haven’t made it clear what I’m looking for
