Why do I find it so creepy that a guy who’s in his 50s is trying to charm women in their early 20s?

I have a friend who’s 23 and this guy was hitting on her and he sent her flowers but the thing is he is in his 50s and he is clearly balding and looks old

In my opinion he has a midlife crisis but it is very distressing because she wanted this certain flower type and he got it for her. He’s old enough to be her father

Now I believe she doesn’t care about him and is using him but still the fact he is trying to hit on her is very disturbing for me

Why is it disturbing? Does anyone else agree?

its normal for guys that age to find young women pretty and hot but its kindy pathetic and weird to go after them especially if you aren't some george clooney looking dude with a fat bank account. like some of these dudes be seriously delusional. like its not just women who hit the wall, dudes aren't an exception. not to mention when they were grown ass adults in their 30s the girls werent even foetuses yet. anyways i'm in my early 20s too and i'd never want anything with an old ass man that age lol

I think the generation gap between someone who’s currently 50 or older is greater than someone who’s 30 and the woman is 23 and here’s why

Millennials grew up with the internet in its infancy and also were using online shopping. Gen Zs know this too but they grew up with it
Some Gen Z have difficulties with economy such as finding stable work and may never own their own home. Millennials some of them face the same challenges

The older generations like the guy in his 50s may never have faced such challenges and grew up where there were different cultural expectations such as men having to be stoic and unfeeling

My point is that how can someone in their 50s truly relate to someone in their 20s. I accept if some guy was say 35 dating someone 25 because there isn’t much of a generational gap but not someone who’s 50. They’re old enough to be their father for crying out loud. Plus in your 50s unless you’re super fit your body is not the same as in your 20s. Can they keep up?

if a guy is extremely fit takes care of himself and looks young. Then I'd say maybe it's okay.

But most guys over 35 look like crap. Which is what makes it creepy!!

I met a guy who was 75 he looked like crap 0verweight and dressed even worse. He kept hitting on girls from 18 to 25 and I've noticed they were all creeped out of him.

He does get lucky but usually, those girls who sleep with anyone and anything so he thinks his method works.

In my early 50s , I did any number of girls in their 20s , and not just Asians over here , plenty in Australia , quite natural , nothing new , happens all the time , none of your business , let her just enjoy. Its LIFE , and I see it everyday.

Seems to me that this guy is genuinely interested and your friend is using him. Her using him is what should concern you. They are both adults- you can't control who he is attracted to. She should just tell him she isn't interested if she isn't.

I agree, it's a bit odd. I wouldn't make advances to a woman in her 20's. If a young woman were interested in me, she would have to tell me.
