For me, it's because they can be very pleasing visually to look at and they feel fucking amazing physically. It is not a fetish or me "lowering" my standards, as it's just one of the types I am into (I do not do morbidly obese though) and I've dated skinny women before. A lot of other men feel the same way too about it too.

Here's an example of two women I find equally attractive desipte being polar opposites of each other and also me being skinny as hell, lmao. I've felt this way for years too, so it's not the body positivity or any political shit fueling it either.
