Why do men at my work talk about their screaming toddlers?

I don't plan on having kids & before you say it, no I won't be lonely.

The men at my work have young kids below 10 years old and talk about what a pain they are and they hate going to kids school events and would rather just stay home.

Is that a weird thing to say?

Why do people discuss anything? It’s just a conversation between people wanting to relate and vent to other people going through the same thing. People do it all of the time. If they aren’t talking to you, why does it matter so much to you?

Most people live pretty similar lives. If I was a mother, I’d like talking to other mothers about breast feeding or something. If I was a gym rat, I’d talk to other gym rats about how much I hate doing arms.

There is no “why” here. Normal human beings speak to each other to form connections, hun.
