Ladies, Do you respect the men you're with, do you trust their judgement, their leadership, do you appreciate them?

Its a simple question. I would bet that a lot of women dont understand what showing respect, showing appreciation really is. For example, Showing frustration that your husband/boyfriend/significant other works a lot, is not the right attitude. That tells him you dont appreciate him putting a roof over your head, the lights on, and food in your belly. A bit of appreciation and a bit of respect goes a long way.

In the example below this lady is frustrated that he chooses to work long hours, and chooses to game when he gets home. When the wife talks to him about it, its not in the correct tone. Its in a nagging tone which accuses him of valuing work and gaming over her. Then the revelation. She finds out that he gets respect from his boss and coworkers and that is why he spends so much time on both. Where the wife chooses to show no appreciation for his dedication to work and chooses to nag him over time spent gaming. Basically both showing no respect and no appreciation.

Respect is a two way street and men are simple, We will stay doing things where we get those two things, Respect and appreciation. Meaning if the people he works with show him respect and appreciation.. And the people he is gaming with show him respect and appreciation, But the wife does not, Where do you think he will spend the bulk of his time?

I have come to recognize that western women have dominate the culture which contributes to the fall of the society.
On the other hand. How can men here raise above to create that model again for greater family unity?
my ex mother in law who is an American have shut down her husband (my ex father in law) and her son (ex hubby). He has no voice.. literally… he grunts as she questions him like a prisoner. She even tried to control me. As you can see I am out of that. Ex hubby is only avoiding her at this point or screaming at her (kids told me) as for me, I am rising our two kids to love and respect their father…. even though he has grown to have anger issues. I am teaching my son, he has the duty to raise more man in the family to carry the family name and to carry on our family legacy. I am teaching him to be with the kind of woman who shares his value, dreams, goals. My second hubby, I love him and respect him and appreciate him. We work very well together. I can share so much about the other 99% women I work with…but I think you already know. The greater question for you all man out there!! What to do to regain the respect? How to raise your next generation to stand up tall to be the leader of that family again!!! To not walk out, to not get into drugs. Please tell me!! Our culture need man!! Real man! I love man and I love real man! I am also shock that you are posting anonymously.
You need to tell the world what you are doing to make the changes that you are a real man!

The relationship is done. But our life is not done and we learned to do better.
I too was beaten down by my last marriage/ex hubby/the court system/the society. But I don’t hate them. I went above the court system. Told them the reason I refused to show up in court was because I don’t agree with the family law. And it’s not good for the kids. The judge’s face turned all red and was almost in tears. Because they know that divorces hurt kids the most. And I wasn’t asking for child support or alimony when he makes more than double than me. I wanted the judge to tell me how is this good for the kids.

The girl in the clip seems to be lacking boundaries in place about what she expects in terms of quality time with him. She’s leaving too much leeway and then all she does is complain. She needs to draw the line.


I respect a man who has work ethic, but I’m still not going to be with someone who works so much to the point where I don’t have enough quality time with him. If the time together isn’t meeting my standards, I’m out.
