I fell asleep with my laptop on when I was watching a movie with my boyfriend, I said he could finish the movie and I cuddled up to him to sleep, while I was sleeping my friends texted in the group chat and he read then I have whatsapp connected to my browser, he told me laughing at our conversations he scrolled back and read all of them, I told him that was an invasion if privacy , his defence he read it cause he saw his name, the text was 'she's with 'my boyfriend's name' he had no right to read my messages and now he diesnt want too apologise.

If I went through the 'boy's group chat ' it would be unfair just because I saw my name pop up. He read the whole chat luckily we have disappearing messages on, it's not just my privacy its whatever secrets my friends decide to tell me in that chat, what if in his nosiness of scrolling through he saw one of my friends sensitive information something extremely private to that person, I'm not mad he went through my phone, I'm mad he went through that chat and saw nth wring with it and waited a whole 2 days, revealed that fact like it was a joke after my face look mortified. There is stuff in that chat my gfs trust me with, he knows absolutely everything that goes on with me I tell him or he asks, but he should apologise, I have nth to hide anyways but its wrong to do stuff like that. He could've stopped at when they were texting me but when I didn't respond, they still saw the messages as read by me, they could've thought it was me and starting sharing stuff bothering them as usual but then he went back through old chats, my friends have stuff they don't want people out of the chat knowing. Yh sure it's not like he saw anything cause those are gone but the fact stands he shouldn't have done that.

If ibwent through his phone cause it was unlocked and in my hand abd I saw my name pop up in a specific chat, it would beba whole different reaction about invading privacy and trusting. He went through a highly sensitive chat that's been around before we even met. There are stuff u know your friends don't want others to know. Y scroll back and look through old chats.

I get it, but let's play devil's advocate for a sec. If these were highly sensitive conversations then why weren't they saved and deleted?
