I think he knows I would be receptive. I was being bullied badly at work and I told him. But I am not getting in touch in case he wants to avoid me and chose his job. You know how you become the problem person when people gang up on you?

I’ve seen it in school more than work, but I get it. In work you can sometimes get away with impressing the ones above you and ignoring the ones beside and below you, but it depends on the type of work, social distance with those above you, and organizational culture.
