I’d use sunblock instead of sunscreen. Don’t use the stuff that absorbs into your skin. Plus it’s more fun for your boyfriend to lather it on you anyway. In fact, that’s what he should look forward to. The more skin you show at the beach as long as it’s tasteful, the more of it he gets to rub.

I don’t mind cats, but even the tamest scratch or nip occasionally. Rabbits are much more chill and you can do your own thing while sitting next to one and pet it occasionally without it jumping onto you or shoving itself into your face (in the best case scenario) in my experience.
