Why does my friend get approached more often than me?

This is going to sound very conceited so I apologize in advance. I'm trying to be as objective as possible. My friend has pretty features and dresses nicely, but often time her hair looks frizzy/undone, she wears thick glasses and no makeup. She has told me countless stories of strangers paying for her food, hot guys approaching her and asking her out, cashiers telling her she doesn't need to pay, and about how guys wink and smile at her. In contrast, the only men who approach me are the overly confident/bold international students. I don't think im ugly though, many girls have told me they love my bone structure, that im super pretty, and that I always look so good. I have guy friends telling me how attractive I am as well, guys in relationships still try to flirt with me, and strangers still stare/check me out/open doors etc. I make sure to always have my hair styled, makeup done, and I wear flattering outfits. Yet I feel sad that no one has ever payed for my food, approached me to ask me out, etc and it makes me feel like maybe there's something wrong with me?

Guys often like the messy look 😂. Shows she can relax and have fun.

Your probably more beautiful or more smart and pretty but she just has that way with guys!

Maybe be less made up so the married guys are not the ones going for you?

My younger sister has that she can't help but get those gross cheaters attention. Till her hubby found and married her! 3 years from meet to marry!

All those trash flirting guys worth it. Mine well not the easiest but though time and hunting through the trash I found him and I won't ever let go.

It's confidence 100% the second you don't give a flying f^ck on how people perceive you and just be on your own high; the compliments will come. Now you can either be humble and or just take it a step further and be like aww thanks I think so too or whatever. Some people like the 1st option while others like the second. Test the waters and have fun.

A lot of people think men want beautiful girls to sleep with but I think this is not the key to finding a husband, men that want wives look for girls that look like she would make a good friend and companion. When I was pretty and very depressed, I would walk around in beautiful clothes and guys would never hit on me. When I gained weight from an unhealthy lifestyle and yet had high confidence and happiness inside, I got hit on so much, it was like I was some type of fashion model. I'm not saying it's okay to eat unhealthy food, I was too busy with work and school to focus on healthy eating at the time. Now I work at home and try to have nutritious meals.
