Girls, how would you feel if a guy buys you a drink and thats it? He has no expectations after?

This question made me wonder: How do you feel about men that offer having drinks as a date?

imagine you are at a restaurant or bar and a guy walks up to buy you whatever drink you want. then after says ‘you’re welcome. Have a great night.’ Then walks away.

basically showing you he's got no expectations. He just wanted to buy you a drink… maybe just because he finds you attractive but thats it.

how would you feel about that?

And just to be clear im not really a bar person nor have i ever really bought women drinks before lol. not really my thing. I just wanted to see your opinions if this happened hypothetically speaking.

First I would only accept the drink if it was served to me direct from the bartender and second If he was a stranger I would then thank him sincerely With a smile on my face. If he seemed appealing to me It would be an inviting big smile sweet expressive smile and I'd be flirtatious; using my eyes. However It would be up to him if he would like to sit and talk... I don't chase men... If they want me they need to come to me... And if I'm interested I will respond and eventually seek them out in a balanced manner...

Now if I already knew the man and I was very interested I would give him a nod to come forth while giving him my flirtatious glance and smile.

Or they are nice about it, or they think you owe them something because they bought you a drink, or they're creeps who spike your drink. Not worth the risk.

What can I think? If he buys a drink and leaves, it means there is nothing to think about, right? If he wanted to make an impression, he would make the smallest move, like saying something, leaving a note, whatever.

But I'm not the guessing person. If I don't know and can't ask (he already left) I wouldn't spend much time dwelling on it.

Yeah its just, if you read the question i linked a lot of women dislike being bought a drink by guys because it usually comes with expectations or even entitlement to something else... usually a date or sex or both. so with him simply buying you a drink and walking away should somewhat indicate he has no expectations whatsoever.

I guess you have a point. I'm not typically that woman you'd find in a bar. In fact it's for this reason that I avoid certain places because I am aware that there are expectations. And i guess if the woman in question doesn't want to give anything more she shouldn't accept the drink in the first place.
