I am only 23, and I really would not date an 18-22 year old for many reasons:

• They are very insecure and require additional validation.
• They are usually not ready to settle down.
• Most of them do not know themselves that well- they just got out of high school.
• I feel they may hold some sort of psychological problems if they are seeking somebody a lot older while so young. I could be wrong though.
• They are usually not independent, financially stable, or very mature in general.
• If they do not attend college and do not hold an alternative education or skill of some sort, the odds are they are quite arrogant and egoistic because they have not been humbled by academia and understand they are not the only people in the world with talent.
• They may look like adults, but they are really far from it. They act just like high schoolers, minus maybe a bit less wild.

I would wait a few years and see if they grow up a bit. That is when I know settling down with somebody is possible.

That depends on your definition of mature, young girls with a mature mindset like thinking about the future, having a calm mind and not wanting to play with other guys are a HUGE turn on for guys interested in a long term partner.

Although if mature is a lot of sexual experience this is a huge nope.

Although the first part can also be a turn off since those type of girls require more time and effort and not every guy is willing to wait. But mostly its a very good combination you should be proud of if you have it.
