Yes just give him space. Something else you’ll have to learn is if you messed up make your apology to them and then leave them alone and allow them the freedom to make up their minds to stay with you or not. If you keep trying to talk to them it usually makes them run the opposite direction from you. I know its hard but do not pursue. Let him decide and you’ll have to accept whatever his answer is whether to continue talking to you or leaving you.
