He always remembers the littlest things I say and he’ll bring them up later. He’s said things like ‘how could I ever say no to you’ and once he got super drunk and was bringing up how I’d called him short one time once and how that’s hurt him. And once we were trying to set him up with a girl who thought he was cute and we went out for dinner together and my other friend was like he kept asking about you etc etc. but if I ever flirt with him on text etc he’ll usually never engage….. so I don’t know what to think.

you for real? he went on a date with a friend of yours and spent the entire time talking about you. have you not seen any cheesy romantic movies? the mans is absolutely smitten with you. you say he doesn't flirt back? simple you are friends and he doesn't want to take that leap because if you reject him then he loses a friend. so he compartmentalizes so that way he keeps his friend. if you like him then you are going to have to either make the first move or create an opening for him and make it plain you like him
