Does my friend like me?

've been friends with this girl for around 2 years, and i have this feeling that she is a bit interested in me, for a few reasons:

She out of nowhere said to me that ''she loves me so much''. She sometimes sends random half-faced selfies where only her eye is exposed, or even sends full selfies to show her ''matched outfit''. She sends me tiktoks and other kinds of memes. She talks to me about her celebrity crushes. We even sometimes text until 2 am and hardly reach a point where the conversation is dry. She even said to me that we resemble two characters from a book she read, even the ''friendship'' we have is similar to what she described, the two characters even end up getting together (one of them dies tho). She sometimes asks me questions to see if remember things she said in the past. We even talk about intimate stuff.

Rarely she even shows signs that she wants my attention, for example: when i dont answer her messages in time she starts saying things like ''are you dead?'' or ''why dont you respond?'' with a sad emoji.

At the moment we aren't texting cause she says that she is busy with new things, even tho she is online sometimes she doesn't text me, and I respect her space.

I've been thinking a lot and i want to know if she really is interested, i can't imagine her liking me (i like her) it's like a dream that never comes true.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think you're in the friend zone. She feels super comfortable with you and does not have a relationship so she gets some safe male energy from you. Not the worst thing in the world but perhaps not quite what you are looking for from her. I think you could ask her for clarity about what her interests in you are "just so you can be clear" and if she says you're a great friend, you just have to decide if you're okay with that. I think you need more signs to understand it. Maybe try to meet in person more so that you can understand. Texting might make it hard to understand the reality but in face-to-face communication it would be easier. Plus, look if you guys mention other people a lot. Flirts, past relationships, etc. Don't use these to make her jealous tho. That would not work. Just see if she mentions any other men

Possible, but tbh girls don't usually tell guys they're into (or that they know are into them) that they love them for fear of being misunderstood. (Ex. I've told several of my friends, male and female, that I love them, but I never said it to one of my former best friends because he had a crush on me at one point and I didn't want to say it unless I was 100% he was no longer interested in me).

Sounds like she likes you. Her mannerisms also sounds like she’s like a 14 year old girl who has a crush. How old are you two? She sounds like a teenager according to what you’re saying. Most women 21+ are (sometimes) a little more straight forward if they like you. They also won't say “why won’t you respond” when you don’t text back. That sounds like something by 11 year old niece says to me when I don’t text her back fast.

I have to be honest and say that if you tried to tell her you liked her romantically there is a 96% chance that would jeopardise your friendship because I don’t really believe she likes you back based on what you’ve described.
