Does my friend like like me?

I’ve been told that in social situations he flocks to me (I’ve noticed this too). I’ve caught him looking at me when I’d been looking away. In groups he’ll mostly just talk to me. If I’m silent in a group setting he’ll seek me out to ask why and also we’ve gotten v comfortable with touching each other casually. I can sort of tell from his eyes he’s attracted but don’t know what to do to gauge properly

Only he knows the answer to that but it certainly seems like he is testing the waters and seeing how you react from the details that you give. I think this is especially true with the touching. He is seeing how comfortable you are a little at a time. My guess is he is looking for a sign from you before making a move. He is probably nervous that if you don't feel the same way it could make the friendship awkward and possibly even ruin it. That is the problem with transitioning a friendship to a relationship. The friendship can be ruined in the process if both parties don't have the same feelings. Now what I think is happening could be totally wrong but this is the vibe I get from the details you provide.

That’s like asking if we think your boyfriend still wants to be in a relationship with you — it’s one of those things no one else but them can tell you. Even if we were to say we think he could like you, what do you plan on doing with that feedback? If you’re a shy person then you won’t talk to him about your feelings anyway and will still keep wondering why he’s acting this way or that way. Nothing will appease your curiosity but confirmation from the man himself.

Of course he could only like you as a friend, that’s a risk everyone takes when they confess having romantic feelings for someone. Rejection is scary. Still, that’s the only way to get the answers you want. All we can do is gas you up here but that’s not much help.
