Start a conversation with him and invite him out to do something together. From there, you can see how he responds to the invitation. 🙂


Something as simple as, “Hey, have you ever been to [insert place]? Want to go together sometime?”


If he says he’s down to go, you can then ask something like, “Yay! When are you free?”


And then you two can decide on a time to meet.


If he’s not interested, he will decline the invitation (unless he’s legitimately busy).


If he keeps declining though, after multiple invitations, he either isn’t interested or he has prior commitments (e. g. has a girlfriend).

Well I'm the world's worst at hitting up people I'm interested in, but I would assume you'd need to start with a DM with a little more than just a Hello.

If it's in person, a smile, wave, or hello, or combination of the few would be a good start.

Small talk if it seems appropriate. Or cut to the chase if you're feeling bold.

Find out whether he's single or not. And remember it's okay if he's not interested, it just means it wouldn't have worked out. Good luck, however you decide to approach it, you're braver than I am.

Find out what he likes, show interest in doing that.

Suggest meeting up for some event, try some place food, etc..

just talk to him about what he's doing in life.

sit next to him rather than confront and don't dump your feelings.

Don't go into feelings at first. Just keep it simple. "Hey would you like to go to fill in the blank" Remember guys are literal. Would you like to go out with me? But remember, you ask, you pay.

Asking someone ‘out’ doesn’t need to be a grand confession. In fact it’s probably better if it’s not. Start with something in common, and be like, ‘hey, want to go for coffee to talk about…’
