Would you consider this a compliment?

A guy told me that he loves talking to me because of my “energy” and that it’s like dopamine for him but guys can be exaggerate a bit when they’re attracted to you so I didn’t really know how to respond to that when he said it.

I think the whole comment about it being like dopamine is a bit of an exaggeration but the comment about liking your energy is definitely a compliment. He is saying you bring a positive vibe and good energy. That is how I would take that to mean and it is definitely a compliment and not a negative. As to how to respond you can just say thanks to keep it simple or pay him a compliment back if you have a genuine one. Just don't compliment if you don't mean it.

What he means is he feels happy with you and wants to do things which usually he doesn't. Motivated kinda, so in a way he complimented u haha.. just say you're glad he feels better with u
