Why would a man in his 40’s get nervous around a woman in her 20’s? Would he fancy her despite the age gap?

Two things. Men like younger women. Both in terms of biology and also in what you represent, ie freedom, fun, joy, natural play. Alas, with work and responsibility that gets squashed from our life.

Secondly, obviously, it varies by men, but I get nervous only around women that I like. Because they're invested in you so it means more.

I'm in my 40's and can imagine being very nervous. Maybe they haven't dated or flirted with anyone in a while. Things are so different now what with the internet and social media. We just don't get some of the things younger generations do

They've become disrespectful to themselves and others. If you're going to a club wearing a belt and a string bikini top as an "outfit" don't complain men don't respect you. Don't complain when you get stared at and objectified.

If you refer to the number of people you've slept with as a "body count" don't expect a man to take you home to join his family.
