+1 yI don't even know what women mean when they say that.
Strong how? Independent how? Most women are not body builders (thankfully), and unless you live in the middle of nowhere, grow your own food, and rely on no one for anything, you're not independent (not that it even matters, because independence is worthless, its better to cooperate with others who arelikeminded or at least helpful).25 Reply- +1 y
By strong we mean women who dont let you walk all over them and who stand up for what they belive is right. And who can control their emotions and know their self worth. And Independent means to have your own money and not have to relly on your parents to buy you anything. And to be able to provide for yourself.
- +1 y
Thats called being an adult. This is a basic expectation of all people.
- +1 y
Yes exept in a society where even adult women are suppose to be quiet and not say no and be too " tough " cuz its " not feminine " and we are told our entire life that our
"biggest goal " is to get married and then to have kids. So a woman who dose not need a man and who can provide on her own is a strong and independent woman. Its a woman who dose not NEED a man but a woman who WANTS a man. (And there are some who dont want a man at all ). Thats what we mean byr
" strong and independent " not baisc adulting
- +1 y
Emotional support, companionship, sexual affection, and relatability are needs.
The idea that someone only needs an SO if they are poor or weak is just nonsense.
Men want women to need THEM, not their wallets. - +1 y
I did not mean their wallets. But rather their attention and love.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yBeing independent just means you are an adult who can take care of yourself, which is a minimum requirement in my opinion.
The problem is not independent women, it's women who feel the need to say they are an independant woman. It's like boasting about being able to tie your own shoes. Can you imagine how weird it would be for a guy to say "I am a strong and independent man"?
Why do women do this shit?
17 Reply- +1 y
Some men are not independent. And no, when we say we are " independent," we mean that we dont NEED a man in our lives to provide for us. We WANT one. Some women are dependent on validation, attention, their parents, gold-digging, etc.
And there are some men who are not independent and strong. Like the ones who are 25 years old and dont have a car, dont have a job, still live with their parents, and play videogames all day. And nowadays women have to ask you " men " for the bare minimum. Why? Because for you " men " the bare minimum in a relationship is a lot.
Opinion Owner+1 yThank you for making my point so well for me. I do appreciate it.
The irony here is that, even though you proved my point for me, you didn't get it yourself. It flew right over your strong, independent little head.
Thanks for the chuckle.- +1 y
Wdym making YOUR point well to you? Pls learn to describe yourself better.
- +1 y
Also, what did I not get? The fact that when a woman can provide for herself, you immediately start comparing her to men ( whose job it is to provide ). A normal woman needs a man to provide for her. Its nature. And why are you comparing the situation to men as if we were the same thing? That's exactly like saying a girl deadlifts 250, and she starts saying that she is strong. And then a guy comes along and starts saying " thats so stupid I can lift the same, could you imagine if guys rdl 250 and then start saying " ohh Im so strong " like why do you women do this?" When in reality a man who can rdl 250 is ' normal ' while a girl who can rdl 250 is strong. Why? Because women and men are not the same. A man who can provide is a NORMAL man. A woman who can provide is INDEPENDENT. If you still dont get it, then I don't know how to explain it better. Men are suppose to provide and protect. Women are not.
- +1 y
Another example would be : a man stays at home and cooks and cleans and takes care of the children and he saids that he is independent. Then a women comes and starts sayinh " oh us women do that on a daily baisis why would think that you are independent? Its just the baisics "
You get the point?
Opinion Owner+1 yNo man ever says he's independent, because people who feel the need to say it are just expressing their insecurities and/or their immaturity. Being independent is good, but it's just normal, like being able to tie your own shoes or wipe your own ass. No need to announce it, because it just makes you look silly.
- +1 y
No one was announcing it. I was just asking if a women who is independent and strong is attractive. I did not say " oh Im a strong and independent women. Am I attractive? "
I was just asking.
+1 yThat depends on your definition of that. Most women are strong and independent. Feminists are the most pathetic people you could ever meet. They’re anything but strong and they’re very dependent which is why they vote democrat.

+1 yHell no! Anytime a woman describes herself as "strong and independent" it's a huge red flag 🚩 that she will be a pain in the ass to deal with and probably a feminist 🤮🖕

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIf she's actually independent. Most women who claim to be independent are dependent as hell. She's typically just belligerent around most people. So she's not really independent. Most people just have a hard time tolerating her.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yYes, but i have often found that women who call themselves strong and independent are arrogant, ignorant, annoying, argumentative, entitled or some other negative thing.
19 Reply- +1 y
Men are like that too. So what if that woman if just acting like a man and you dont like it?
Opinion Owner+1 yI never said that behavior was limited to women, I just said a lot of them confuse "strong and independent" with those things.
No, I'm not attracted to women who act like men.- +1 y
Yes I agree everything gose to an extent. But what I ment the actual " strong and independent " women. Not thouse who just claim to be
Opinion Owner+1 yWhile I would say that I do like independent women, Independence is a strange word choice. I think when people say “independent” in this context, they really mean, capable, sensible, and composed. these traits are what I find attractive in women. I think it’s attractive insofar as, being an agreeable person who’s easy to work with, but will also voice their point of view in an assertive way when it is called for while still being respectful.
- +1 y
Yes that is what we mean by
" independent "
Opinion Owner+1 yAnd I'm saying I like "independent" women and elaborating. Anyway, that's my answer to your question. Have a good day.
- +1 y
You too 🙃
- +1 y
I have never heard a man describe himself as "strong and independent"
- +1 y
Because men are born like that. Men are born to lead and to provide. Women are not. So when a man dose it, its considered normal, but when a woman dose it its considered
" extra " if yk what I mean
+1 yYes! The best kind. 😉
