Guys, Is a woman unattractive if she does not get complimented by guys? Do men tend to compliment women they find attractive in casual settings?

I believe I am pretty but I do not get complimented on my looks.

If a see a very attractive woman in public I tend to not interact with her at all.
Because being attractive isn't a reason to talk to strangers.
If someone starts a conversation with me, I tend to lead it into a dead end direction that cuts it short, unless its about something I'm interested in, because I don't want to give t hem the idea that I'm interested.

I reserve looking for a wife to online interactions, where I can think in safety and have time to contemplate what to think about a woman. I'm not the type to rush things, and today's women think they can date me before being friends first, so its my only way to avoid that.

The women that get complimented put themselves in a position to get complimented. Without knowing you, I'd venture to say these other women are more social and most assuredly more flirtatious than you. Men are not going to compliment women unless something actuates them to do so. This isn't sleezy or even necessarily exploitative. Guys have feelings and ego's to. I know that's hard for women to understand, but we do. Women typically talk and flirt with guys a signal that they want to be flitrted with (which is why some women do it maliciously as a tactic, unfortunately). But the compliment a guy gives you may be genuine. He just had no reason to give it before. Trust me, when a guy gives a woman a compliment without any prior engagement on her part, she almost always thinks there's an ulterior motive. So that's a guys reward for giving a woman a warm fuzzy. He gets a look of suspicion. What would you do if you were a man? Pretty simple.

I compliment to lots of women for different reasons. Some because I find attractive, some others because they’re friendly or have a cute smile or whatever. The ones I don’t compliment are the ones who give a bad vibe, i. e, they look moody, miserable or unfriendly

No a woman isn´t unattractive if she doesn´t get compliments because it could be that she only meets guys that don´t give out compliments on a regular basis meaning she could be meeting guys that are either too shy or unsure to give out compliments.

Well, TBH with you.. Attractiveness is not based on our own perception but measured by others.. Because it's all about about being able to attract a suitable mate.. But not necessarily.. I mean if I thought she was pretty, I wouldn't care..

No, the lack of compliments isn't necessarily due to looks. Could be plenty of other reasons.
