Why do guys I slept with years ago randomly try to ruin my life?

Its odd but every now and then I get the occasional "hey your are you" text after... say 1 year later from an unknown number (as if I have it saved still) from a guy I probably hooked up with maybe once or twice. Then they'll go after a few texts and threaten to tell the guy I'm with currently I "cheated" when I didn't. It has so far happened with 5 different guys and boy is it annoying... is there any reason why the dudes do this?
Recently one of the guys texted me and I'm currently pregnant, i let him know and he randomly says wished the kid was mine (i hung out with him two times so he barely knows me) then got mad because i told him to go away and tired to ruin my life but failed... WHY
