Guys, If a guy friend asks your opinion on…?

Something pretty serious and says he appreciates your opinion etc, do you think he wants you to follow up later and see how it went? Is that annoying? Isn’t that just being a friend?

A friend is a friend & as for your guy friend he values your opinion & if he didn’t value your opinion he probably wouldn’t ask for it. On the flip side you can always follow up & be a good friend or you can just wait until he follows up with you.

Sure… if he openly brought it up to you then asking about it later isn’t a bad thing. It would be the friend thing to do.

Yes he completely approached me about it. I had no idea it was happening until he mentioned it and asked my opinion etc. I guess lines are blurred since Iike him and want to make sure I’m not being “too much”. I mean he must have wanted my attention which is why he asked, right?

He wanted your opinion so he values your thoughts… checking up on the situation would show concern on your part. Friends would be concerned.

And what if my follow up is only to ask how he feels about his decision?

I don’t know. He’s a man I really like and worry about me coming on too strong because I have feelings for him but know we are only friends. It’s hard for me to sometimes see things clearly and as just friends.

No. It has to do with a sort of business deal.

So you should feel honored he asked you about it. Shows he has trust in your opinions. Again he brought this question to you… as a friend (and someone who cares about him) there is no harm in a follow up question.

Yes you are right. For some reason he trusts me a lot. He has asked my opinions on some pretty important things in his life. Things that he holds very close.

So you said you have feelings for him… well I think that goes both ways.

Really? Hmmm. God, I wish. It’s complicated though. He certainly lets me “in” to some of his life but not all of it. He’s very kind, caring, and seems to place importance on me but…I think it’s just friends. Though, we’ve had to discuss it in the past when it felt more (seemingly from both sides) because he’s not “available”.

Life is complicated. You either work hard to remove complications or you work around the complications.
But don’t let complications stop you from getting what you want.
