He hasn’t been contacting me much past few days and says it’s that he’s busy with his meds hook project for a few days that’s all. And he said to be patient.

Hmm that's a tricky situation. When a dude says "be patient" it could mean a few different things.

On the positive side, he may really be swamped with this project and just asking for some space to get it done. Long distance is tough and people get busy, so giving him the benefit of the doubt ain't a bad idea.

However, saying "be patient" could also be a subtle way of distancing himself slowly if he's losing interest but doesn't wanna outright say it. Or trying to fade you out gradual.

I'd say play it cool for now but also don't just sit around waiting if he stays pretty MIA. Keep yourself busy with your own thing too so you're not sitting by the phone 24/7.

Give it like another week then casually check in, see if he's still engrossed in work or what's up. His response should give you a better idea which way it's heading.

But for now, try not stress. Trust he would've directly dumped you already if he wasn't feelin it, yeah? Keep options open just in case.

who knows. seems like he could chat with you like a few minutes, but if he’s stressed he could just have you out of his mind temporarily. all you can do is eat and see. focus on your own life and let him make the move if he’s interested
