My long distance boyfriend speaks to me less and less?

So when we decided to do long distance cause he had to move we used to speak everyday and I asked him if maybe we talk to much and he said no, so we spoke frequently throughout the day while working, nights when he gets back from work and then it started getting less and less to where he took hours to reply during the day and said it was work so I accepted it and then the response became slower during nights and he said he has to cook and clean and still work and I said okay but then even when he watches soccer at 12 am at night he still doesn't respond and weekends he says good morning and dissappears for the day, after he fought with me earlier on when I was gone for an hour and didn't tell him, I gave him the option to talk less or to schedule time instead and he said no, am I wrong for wanting even a bit off communication because I barely know anything about him these days and he doesn't message me much throughout the day and only after 10pm now and then, am I wrong for wanting more time or effort? Or even just just heads up that we won't be talking
