788 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Sure, you are talking about yourself... men ghost for the same reason women do.
The were unsure for whatever reason, and then got bored with it, or decided it's not worth it.
And what do I mean by whatever reason. I mean any reason you can come up with.
Another person came long, and she was unsure until she decided it's not going to be you.
She talked a good game, and now that the chips are down, she is intimidated.
She woke up on morning and looked in the mirror and just decided for no real reason at all, that your just not the one.
She banged some other guy and now can not look in the face and do the right thing.
I mean you never know why... but bottom line is this. For whatever reason you are not the one, and it more than likely had everything to do with them and nothing to do with you.

No i wasn't talking about myself it just happens often to women and I just asked why

Usually, the ones that have to make the point that it's not about me... I mean on some level you want to know, so who is it about?
Bottomline PEOPLE GHOST all the time, men and women do it equally and just as randomly to each other. So, this is not a guy or girl question, it's a PEOPLE question.
Me personally, I ghost women when I feel there is no real reason as to why I should persue the situation any longer. I ghost women, because rejection is rejection, and no matter how many times we have heard that guys can't expect rejection, well let me tell you... neither can woman.
I ghost because when there is nothing good to say, its best to left it unsaid. I am not tearing some persons down on my way out the door, and if they think hearing all that will make it easier for them. Well, they are wrong. Because I am not going to lie to her just to make her feel better. I have had that done to me and trust me you know its bullshit and it only pisses you off more to be lied to.
But at the same time, I am not going to tell her truth either, because I don't want to hurt any more than I have to. But at the end of the day, it's not worth it to me. Would you rather me tell you that you're not worth dating to me? Or would you rather have me say sorry, I do not think it is going to work out I wish you best. Then block her. How many times have women did this to me? Many times, and i have done the same. Because there is really nothing else that has to be said after that.

+1 yI only ghost girls when I notice her putting in zero to minimal effort or when I see her replying very slow herself (taking days to respond). I had this a lot when i replied fast myself and she just waited for hours or days to respond with minimal effort to keep the communication going.

To explain further. I have only dont this four times when I noticed every time I was the one having to continue the conversation while she was just drytexting and taking hours-days to respond with no effort. So in all those cases i just muted the chat and stopped replying to have her notice I was done with their games and lack of effort.
+1 yProbblaby a mix of something you did yourself that was wrong and lack of communication skills from his side.

+1 yPeople may ghost others for various reasons, such as fear of confrontation, changing priorities, personal issues, or simply losing interest. It's often a reflection of their own circumstances rather than a reflection of your worth.
10 Reply 2.9K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I ghosted a girl once. This was before the internet. I just stopped calling her on the phone and never returned her calls. I was angry with her because she was not a very good girlfriend. I never called her again

m +1 ynot something I've ever done... but my guess is that they were just living the moment, and didn't care beyond they wanted to get? or they did get?
10 Reply I don't know. I would say that 99% of the time I'm a kind person. And most of the time I hold back my strong opinions in private messages. BUT it is getting to the point to where I am tired of walking on eggshells because over the course of 21 years doing that hasn't prevented ghosting.

+1 yIn the context of dating:
Usually it’s me who’s been ghosted when it does happen.
But mostly it’s more things fizzle out because someone’s heart (s) wasn’t into it, moved on, or efforts felt futile.
