I'd rather be alone and unloved. I'm okay with being alone, plus "unloved" doesn't necessarily mean "shunned" or anything. If I was viewed as inadequate and disrespected, I'd probably never get my dream job. If I was disrespected by my boyfriend, I wouldn't want to be in that relationship anyway.

I don't know having everyone treat you like sh*t in exchange for one person's affection seems a bad trade.

And if there's the one person who truly loves and cares about you, that's enough imo. Just one person is better than none and if it's mutual and all that good stuff then everyone else's opinions of you just don't matter.

Both of those sound the same to me. If you disrespect me then you don't love me. If you think I'm inadequate then you definitely don't love me... so I guess I'd rather be alone because either way you don't love me or respect me.
