No, not really. Being attractive or not is subject to personal opinion. If you take 10 guys and put them in a room straight or gay it doesn't matter. You will have multiple opinions whether you're attractive, cute, hot, drop dead gorgeous, whatever you want to call it. Not all men like the same things or have the same taste in women. So, for me personally if you look like the majority of women out there, all fake, plastic, and made up. You might think you're hot. But that doesn't mean I will. Just because desperate guys are googling over you, that does not mean you're hot that just means they're desperate. So, looks are a personal perceivement. And gay dudes, they're a lot like women, so they lie in bullshit a lot just to make you feel good. But, the real answer to that question would be is as full as penis out of his pants and if you get it hard then he's right. If you don't, then you're not.

Attraction is relative. Some guys like fat chicks, some like skinny, some like dolled up, some like natural, some like hairy girls, some like smooth girls, etc. A gay man can appreciate your look but such opinions don't necessarily have a basis in truth.

The rule of thumb is this: you'll be attractive to people you're not attracted to and to be attractive to those you're attracted to, you'll have to up your game or moderate your expectations.

No. A gay man (a truly 100% gay man) won’t find you sexually attractive so you really can’t judge that aspect of your attractiveness based on his opinion. He can tell if you’re beautiful though, which is not the same as being attractive.

I hope I can contribute with an answer from a perspective where it counts the most. I'm a gay man and my female friends say I have quite a discerning eye in finding a woman attractive. Although I think it goes without saying, I'll add that finding a woman attractive in this context does not mean sexual attraction towards that woman, but rather an aesthetic statement about her.

That aesthetic interest has actually been a big obstacle in front of my coming into terms with my homosexuality. That's because, in my adolescent and early adult years, I was quite convinced that I could get attracted to girls. However, every time things were about to get sexual, they collapsed big time until I realized what I felt towards women was never sexual attraction, but rather a strong admiration, or an envy to be like them.

So, yes, I'm choosy in evaluating the attractiveness of a woman. I think my mind works in a similar fashion to my female friends, because they agree most of the time with my higher standards in that regard.

Let me also note that there are other gay men like me while there are also some others who have no interest in thinking/talking about anything female. I guess the first category where I also belong include gay men who are rather effeminate in appearance and behavior.
