I have a lot of resentment towards my ex. She convinced me to propose to her only to break up with me 3 days later - think she was bipolar and was toxic throughout the whole relationship, she really ruined much of my life and wasted 4 years of my life out of jealousy.

I was very upset when she broke up with me because I didn't know any better. But once it happened and she made racist remarks about my background, and told me "you crossed an unforgivable line" over and over again without telling me what I did...

I broke all contact with her and we haven't spoke since.

3 years later, I was with my new girlfriend and we saw her in a car with a new guy (who looked absolutely miserable). And It pissed me off remembering the things she did, but then I laughed. That was the closure I needed and showed me the perspective of how miserable I truly was. Whenever she does cross my mind I do get mad because I remember how shitty she treated me and how stupid I was to accept it was her "seasonal depression".

I don't think pissed off means still having intimate feelings of the person
