Do you think he likes me?

Question

We've been texting for nearly a month. He messaged me immediately when he broke up with his girlfriend, I didn't even know he knows my Instagram and he told me his relationship hasn't been good for a while. He writes me several paragraphs every single day and I do the same back. Like there hasn't been a single short message ever since we started talking. And he spends an hour typing everything often even though he's vers busy and he talks about very personal things.

We have made plans to meet earlier this month but he said we should wait until the weather is better because we want to go to a lost place but it still made me think maybe he doesn't want to even though he suggested it. But he did follow up a few times telling me he's excited for us to go there this month, and earlier he asked me about a castle near our town and if I know about it. Do you think he may want to go there with me as well?

He also called me pretty few times so far.

Do you think he could really like me the way I like him?

Hmm this is kinda tricky. A few things sound promising like he talks to you a lot over text, brings up places to hang out and compliments your looks. That could mean he's interested for sure.

But the fact that he just got out of a relationship is a red flag - he might not be fully over his ex yet. And bailing on your first plans to meet up isn't the best sign either. It's possible he's just looking for someone to talk to while dealing with the breakup y'know? Nothing really wrong with that but might not mean more than friendship.

My advice would be, keep talking to him and see if he actually follows through on those plans to hook up soon. Don't get your hopes up too much yet though, just play it cool. If he starts flaking again or takes forever to make moves then maybe he doesn't think of you that way. But if he steps up and you guys vibe when you do hang, then there could definitely be something there. Just protect your feelings and take it slow for now. Hopefully more time will tell if he's truly interested!

I think he likes you, but until there’s an actual date and meeting in-person… you’ll really know how genuine it is and how much he actually likes you. He also just out of a relationship, sometimes, it’s a void and other times it’s sincere. See where it goes :)
